Hey, I'm Ali.
I'm a candid videographer/photographer combo based in Boise, Idaho. I have found a passion for videography and photography through filming and snapping candid moments of my own life, and I am thrilled to capture lasting memories for others. After years of dreaming, I finally made the jump to make my passion something more than a hobby.
Where it started...
My passion for videography started with iMovie when I forced my best friends and siblings to act in short films throughout elementary school and into middle school. I have always been in to making fun little videos from the footage on my little blue camera, a Canon ELPH 115 IS, which was a birthday present for my 10th birthday. That camera holds a bad reenactment of "The 3 Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf", a couple of bad photoshoots with my American Girl Dolls, and some of my favorite memories.
What happened next...
After forgetting about/losing my little blue camera for several years, I rediscovered my passion for capturing the best moments of life. I am sure my friends got sick and tired of me sticking my little blue camera in their faces all of senior year, but the results will be something my friends and I cherish forever. After creating this year long montage of the candid moments of senior year, I realized I have a passion for capturing memories. I revamped my middle school photography account (lol) and named it @alimakesvlogs. I filmed a couple of short videos on my mom's iPhone, and invested in Final Cut Pro to start teaching myself how to edit. Fast forward to now... I finally took the jump to invest in my passion, and create a brand out of what I love.
